What is the Electric Circuit?

An electric circuit consists of individual electric components such as resistors, transistors, capacitors, inductors, and diodes. These circuits are connected by conductive wires or traces through which electric current can pass. So if you don’t know, what is this electric current. Check the next section.

There are different types of circuits based on the structure of wiring or current flow. To know more about different types of circuits in physics, read the following points.

Power Circuits

Power circuits are one of the basic types of circuits that control or transfer large amounts of electricity. These are useful in computers, tv, cell phones, etc.

Closed and Open Circuit

Closed circuits have a complete path while the open circuit doesn’t. Thus for a circuit to work, it must be closed. It means open circuits are not functional.

Series Circuit

In this circuit, the same amount of current flows through all the components of a circuit. Thus the current has only one path to take.

Parallel Circuit

In this type of circuit, components are arranged in such a manner that power must break before the meeting & combining.

Short Circuit

In the short circuit, the circuit allows current to move in an unintentional path. Thus it encounters a little or low resistance path.

The study of different types of the circuit is a part of physics subject, but sometimes these circuits are also useful to understand various logic gates

What is Electric Current That Flows Through Circuit?

The electric charge that flows through the wires of your house is called electric current. Different types of circuits use this electric current. It carries useful energy that we use for a variety of tasks. In the US, standard types of circuits have a sufficient voltage of around 120 volts. These volts represents energy per charge. In simple words, These charges carry energy that is useful to transform it to give heat, lightning, motors, and so on.

Summing up the whole guide here, by adding, it is essential to understand different types of circuits for a better understanding of electric current and appliances.
