The team should gather data from the interviews to develop competency models for these two positions.

Each team should do the following.

Part 1: Research Paper

Create a one- to the two-page analysis of the competencies for each position. Submit it as a Word document.

Part 2: Narrated PowerPoint Presentation

Create a two- to four-slide narrated PowerPoint presentation that presents the material from the paper. This will be submitted with Part 1.

This week's Case Analysis Research and Presentation assignments are on business goals drive learning at Verizon.

Each team will be given a case to analyze.

Guidelines

Read the case—Business Goals Drive Learning at Verizon—located at the end of Chapter 6 in the textbook.

Part 1: Research Paper

In a two- to three-page paper (not including the cover and reference pages) in APA format, answer the following questions.

Do you think it is easier for a company like Verizon, which emphasizes technology and innovation, to adopt and use new technologies such as social media for training? Why?

What metrics should Verizon use to show the effectiveness of its internal YouTube video site?

Should all training that Verizon offers be available to employees on an as-needed basis? Explain your answer. Is performance support the same as learning?
