Assignment Introduction
To support the development of time management skills, complete the Time Management Exercise [DOCX], which will walk you through the steps of time management planning for this course. This week you completed a few activities to help you think about how you spend your time and this assignment will help you understand where your time is currently spent, where more time could be awarded, and also where some activities could use less time to adjust for new school activities. This exercise can also be used beyond this course to ensure a successful and balanced college career.

Use the Time Management Exercise [DOCX] to fill out your schedule, hour by hour. Include all activities currently part of your life that take any time and be sure to include Capella activities such as studying and completing weekly work due. The table will expand as you type. Additional detailed guidance can be found in the multi-page step-by-step Time Management Success Guide [PDF].
Make sure you complete the following:
Create a schedule to accommodate schoolwork for current career goal in the field of psychology.
Fill out the table by planning your week. Be sure to include both time for schoolwork and your personal responsibilities as you work towards your career goal.
Answer the questions below the table in complete sentences. Discuss the following in your answers:
Identify highest and lowest priorities. Include three of your highest priorities and three of your lowest priorities.
How do you choose which conflicts take precedence?
What activities do you think you will need to decrease the time given?
Identify activities that will be replaced by schoolwork.
As things come up in your life, what activities can be shifted so schoolwork can be completed?
Develop a plan to manage schedule changes. Include how you would plan for scheduling conflicts, problems, and technology issues.
What options do you have to complete work if you need to borrow a computer to submit an assignment or discussion?
If you were to encounter computer problems, who could you contact? Is there someone through Capella? How about personally?

Assignment Introduction
This assignment will help you build skills in evaluating and finding resources-essential tasks to master whenever you need information for your day-to-day life or in school. We start with the Internet, as a source of information you are already familiar with and where you’ll evaluate a provided Website to apply the CRAAP Test. From the internet, we move to a source of information you’ll want to learn-the Capella Library. You’ll be asked to locate a specific article and share some of what you find. As you complete this exercise, reflect on the difference between Internet and library sources. Can you guess which ones your instructors will prefer you to use?

Download and review the CRAAP Test and Library Worksheet [DOCX]. For additional detailed guidance on successfully completing this worksheet, download the multi-page step-by-step CRAAP Test and Library Worksheet Success Guide [PDF].
To complete the CRAAP Test portion of this assignment, go to the Credibility of Information page of the companion HELP site. Review the Internet articles listed and select one article to evaluate using the CRAAP Test. Record the name of the article on the CRAAP Test worksheet and then begin your evaluation.
Use the questions on the CRAAP Test to evaluate the Internet article and score each category—?Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, and Purpose. Add up your scores to determine the article's total score. The assignment worksheet provides a rating and guidance with how acceptable the source is for your use.
After evaluating the Internet article using the CRAAP Test, move to the second section of the worksheet to explore a different type of resource. Locate the article (using the little information provided) from the Capella Library using Summon and respond to the questions using complete sentences.
