Prior to beginning work on this discussion, review a state’s department of corrections Twitter (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. You can consider any of the Twitter pages for state correctional departments in the Recommended Resources for this week, or you can do an Internet search to locate a specific state’s department of corrections Twitter page. The Twitter page must be the official account of that state department of corrections. For example, you could explore Tweets from one of the Twitter pages listed in the resource list for Week 4, or you could review a state’s department of corrections’ Twitter page of your choosing. Select a Tweet and explain how its content relates to a social justice and criminal justice issue for alternative sentencing and for community corrections. As noted before, your textbook Chapter 7 is a helpful reference for alternatives sanctions (alternatives to incarceration) that may be implemented.
