Gender-related challenges, such as unequal pay, gender-based discrimination, and limited representation in leadership roles, persist, despite ongoing societal efforts to address them. By embarking on this inquiry, the researchers aim to shed light on the lived experiences of individuals, explore their personal narratives, and understand the factors that shape their perceptions. This qualitative approach allows for a deeper exploration of the nuanced aspects of gender dynamics and can provide valuable insights to inform policy decisions, organizational practices, and societal change.

 Research Question

How do individuals experience and perceive gender equality or inequality in the contemporary workplace, and what factors influence these perceptions?

Motivation

This qualitative study is motivated by the pressing need to understand the intricate gender dynamics within modern workplaces and to unravel the lived experiences of individuals within these contexts. Despite ongoing efforts to address gender-related disparities, challenges such as unequal pay, gender-based discrimination, and limited representation in leadership roles persist (Chung & van der Lippe, 2020). By embarking on this qualitative inquiry, the researchers aim to explore the multifaceted aspects of gender dynamics in the workplace, understand the factors that shape individuals' perceptions, and shed light on their personal narratives. This study aims to provide a deeper understanding of how individuals navigate gender-related issues in their professional lives, which can, in turn, inform policy decisions, organizational practices, and societal change. Research Instrument: In-depth Interviews (Mauldin & DeCarlo, 2020)
