 Research Question

How do individuals experience and perceive gender equality or inequality in the contemporary workplace, and what factors influence these perceptions?

Motivation

This qualitative study is motivated by the pressing need to understand the intricate gender dynamics within modern workplaces and to unravel the lived experiences of individuals within these contexts. Despite ongoing efforts to address gender-related disparities, challenges such as unequal pay, gender-based discrimination, and limited representation in leadership roles persist (Chung & van der Lippe, 2020). By embarking on this qualitative inquiry, the researchers aim to explore the multifaceted aspects of gender dynamics in the workplace, understand the factors that shape individuals' perceptions, and shed light on their personal narratives. This study aims to provide a deeper understanding of how individuals navigate gender-related issues in their professional lives, which can, in turn, inform policy decisions, organizational practices, and societal change. Research Instrument: In-depth Interviews (Mauldin & DeCarlo, 2020)

 4. In your opinion, are individuals of all genders equally likely to be promoted within your organization?

6. Can you describe any specific challenges or obstacles related to gender that you have faced in your career?

7. Do you believe that your workplace actively promotes and supports gender equality initiatives? Please elaborate.

8. What are your thoughts on the effectiveness of gender diversity and inclusion programs in your organization?

9. Have you observed any changes or developments in gender dynamics within your workplace over the years? If so, what were they?

10. How would you rate your workplace's commitment to addressing the gender wage gap, if applicable?
