1. Closely study Module 2 in your Intercultural Learning E-Book. Watch the video by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie: The danger of a single story | TED Talk about the danger of a single story. How do single stories about culture emerge and persist? What is the danger of a single story? Chimamanda herself notes that she has also fallen into the trap of reducing other cultures to a single story. Write a one-page paper on single story perceptions of other cultures and observe if you have any tendencies to generalize and reduce perceptions of others to a single story. (Your answer should be a minimum of 1 page and is worth 5 points)

2. Closely study Modules 1 & 2 in your Intercultural Learning E-Book. Consider your vision for future practice in your chosen field of study (either in your chosen area of the United States or elsewhere). Does this vision of practice diminish or promote the preservation of cultural diversity? If so, how? Does this vision implicitly or explicitly endorse or reject the supremacy of Western values, beliefs, and worldviews? (Your answer should be approximately 1 page and is worth 5 points).

3. Closely study Module 4 in your Intercultural Learning E-Book. There are four aspects to critical reflection: selecting a topic or event to reflect on; deciding on who you will reflect with, yourself or a group; working through a series of reflection steps; and making use of a range of reflection skills and strategies. Using the Critical Worksheet in Module 4 of your e-book identify an incident involving your selected key project people group and deconstruct your thoughts in each of the five areas. Summarize your thoughts in each of the areas. Then write an outline of your own critically reflective framework that you can use as a guide for your forthcoming experiential key assignment project (if you have decided to go to Texas, use that experience; if your project will involved working with the homeless population use that experience; if you have decided to go to Washington, D.C, consider the groups you will be working with, etc.) (These answers will be a minimum of one page and is worth 5 points)

4. Closely study Module 5 in your Intercultural Learning E-Book. Examine the benefits, your expectations and your learning goals for undertaking an intercultural experience. Also identify your fears or concerns and what strategies might help to manage these? What assumptions might be underpinning your motivations, fears and expectations?
