CITI Program on Biomedical Research

Basic/Refresher of the CITI Program

You need to sign on to CITI Programs and take the basic course on Biomedical Research - Basic/Refresher.

After completing the registration process you will work through each of the modules in Biomedical Research - Basic/Refresher, unless directed by the instructor to take different course based on your research needs.

Once you have completed all the modules you will submit diploma's and transcript's to Moodle in order to get credit for the assignment. There are minimum percentages for the quizzes that you must meet to move to the next module. Quizzes can be taken more than one time. If you return to CITI at a later time remember to save your 'user-id' and 'password' (your email is only used for communication).

Directions:

Go to CITI Programs homepage

Register for a Citi Program Account using the 'Organization Affiliation' area.

Use Norwich University for your affiliation and use your Norwich email address for registration. You will create a UserID and a password for yourself.

In the registration process you will be asked 5 questions that should be answered as shown here:

For Q1 Human Subject - choose Biomedical Research Investigators.

For Q2 Responsible Conduct - choose Responsible Conduct of Research Course.

For Q3 Conflicts of Interest - choose Student.

Leave Q4 and Q5 blank

Click 'Submit' to complete registration.

Enter the Biomedical Research - Basic/Refresher section (unless directed by your instructor)

Read and take the quiz for every module in the section.

As you complete each module, download the diploma AND transcript that shows the grade report both as PDF's (see note).

Upload all the diploma's and transcripts to the dropbox below (you can upload a maximum of 20 documents).

Click on the 'Submit for grade' button to submit this assignment.

NOTE: In order to print the diploma to 'PDF' you should pick 'print' from the File menu and then scroll down in the 'Name' field for 'PDF' or 'Adobe PDF' and click 'print'. You will need to save the file onto your computer where you can find it in the future and then upload that PDF into the dropbox below

NOTE: These modules are free to MSN students but if you request CEUs there will be a fee. You can ask to have CEU's setup during registration or during the course you can change your preference to "YES" by clicking on the "CEU's" tab located at the top of your grade book page.
