Ensuring one’s impression of him or herself can be important in one’s career progression. Digital tools provide a very controlled space in which people can explore, express, and edit their sense of self.

Imagine you are a social media specialist for a public relations firm and have been selected to help an individual improve their online impression to get their dream job.

Select an individual who you are somewhat familiar with either in your personal or professional circle that has both a LinkedIn profile and Facebook or Instagram account.

Write a  memo in which you do the following:

Identify the individual you will be coaching to improve their online impression to get their dream job.

• Recommend how this individual could use technology to improve their image to obtain their dream job.
