Company Background

SG Enable formerly known as The Centre for Enabled Living was established by the Singapore Ministry of Social and Family Development and is dedicated to enabling persons with disabilities. SG Enable champions innovative approaches in assisting those with disabilities and integrating them in society in an inclusive way.

SG Enable provides the community with referral services for children and adult disability schemes, facilitate the administering of grants and support for people with disabilities and their care?givers among other things. SG Enable also assists with enhancing the employability and employment options for persons with disabilities.

SG Enable is also recognized for the creation and management of Enabling Village. As the newest integrated community space in Singapore, the Enabling Village represents a fresh approach to social businesses and community building. The Enabling Village combines retail, lifestyle and training for disabled members of the community in an all?accessible public space

Project Description Assistive Technology

This project will focus on Assistive Technology and investigate the various business models surrounding assistive technology in Singapore The exploration should also consider the consequent costs of assistive technology and related devices to the end?user or person with disabilities. The business model should identify revenue streams, support (governmental or insurance) for persons with disabilities, outreach strategies and AT awareness building.
