You have recently expressed interest in working in health IT in a health system. To improve your familiarity with the data you may encounter, the IT manager has asked you to create an executive summary for people new to the health care industry.

Choose 2 of the following health care environments:

• Hospitals
• Payers
• Ambulatory practices
• Governmental agencies
• Reporting agencies
• Other health care environment approved by your faculty member

Write a 350- to 525-word summary in which you compare the types of data used in your chosen health care environments. In your summary:

• Describe the categories of data collected and used by each of your health care environments.
